Abyssinian Oil is easily absorbed into the epidermal tissue generating a very noticeable smooth texture to the skin. Even in the case of highly wrinkled and/or exceptionally dry skin, it makes a significant improvement in tone and texture. Native to the Mediterranean region and eastern Africa, particularly in the area originally called Abyssinia which today is known as Ethiopia. The seeds typically produce around 30% oil with an unusually high level of a long-chain monounsaturated fatty acid called Erucic acid. Erucic usually accounts for more than 50% of the total fatty acids and also responsible in part for the exceptional skin and hair care benefits that the oil offers.
Camellia Seed Oil: The “beauty secret” of the geishas of Japan, camellia has been recognised for centuries in Eastern Asia for its highly regenerative and restorative effects on the skin. Camellia oil is known for its excellent moisture-retaining ability, which makes it an effective moisturising and replenishing oil. it is suitable for sensitive and allergy-prone skin, absorbs quickly and easily, and leaves the skin looking and feeling smooth and supple.
Camellia is extremely rich in monosaturated fatty acids, containing more than 80% oleic acid. It is also rich in vitamins A, B and E, various minerals, and squalene, which is an important component of the skin’s natural emollient system. Deficient levels of squalene can result in dry, sagging, and wrinkly skin.
